The Test System
Before we look at the numbers, here is a brief glance at the test system that was used. It should be noted that the MSI DKA790GX Platinum motherboard was used for the AMD Socket AM2+ platform and the ASUS M479T Deluxe was used for Socket AM3 Testing. This will yield interesting results as it will be an AM2+ versus AM3 article as well as DDR2 versus DDR3.
Memory Settings:
- ASUS M4A79T Deluxe - 1333MHz @ 7-7-7-20 (DDR3)
- MSI DKA790GX Platinum - 1066MHz @ 5-5-5-15 (DDR2)
