As we have mentioned in previous video card reviews, upgrading your graphics card is a quick place to pick up your system's performance, especially in games. Today we will be reviewing a video card based on ATI's top-midrange level chipset; the Radeon 9600 XT. This is a great option for those who want to get great value for their dollar, without spending all their savings.

Today's 9600 XT is made by HIS (Hightech Information System). HIS was founded in 1987 and is now an ATI-based graphics company in Hong Kong. HIS's main plant, which is located in China, employs over 800 workers who are now working on exploring the US market for their products. HIS has included a driver CD, PowerDirector 2.5, PowerDVD 5, and a 6-in-1 CD with the following Game Demos: Comanche4, Delta Force: Black Hawk Down, Serious Sam: The Second Encounter, Tom Clancy: Black Thorn, Vietcong, and Worms Blast. Also included is a User Manual, S-Video to Composite adapter, S-Video cable, and a DVI to VGA adapter.
