Final Thoughts and Conclusion
In the time I’ve had to spend with this card, I haven’t really found much to dislike about it. The card has performed well in Folding@Home and in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Of course, I didn’t try to push the card to ridiculous resolutions, as gamers that own 24” or 30” monitors probably aren’t looking at sub-$120 video card to run them. Even with Crysis Warhead, where I thought the card could stumble and fall, as many higher priced cards did with the original Crysis, the 9800GT from MSI was able to play the game fairly smoothly at 1280x1024.
The price range this card falls into is a pretty tough fight, with a large number of cards from both ATI and NVIDIA sparring for this market segment. At $104.99 shipped from Newegg after a $15 rebate the MSI N9800GT offers some serious bang for the buck. If you are looking for a card to play most current games on medium or slightly higher settings, this card is an excellent choice. Throw in the fact that this card does an AWESOME job running Folding@Home, and it makes it an even easier selection for me.

Legit Bottom Line: We didn’t go into the review thinking this card would be one to change the world, but MSI has added some nice touches and done a great job on this card. If you are looking for a card to play most current games on, as well as running Folding@Home, at a sub-$120 price range, I don’t think you can go wrong with this N9800GT T2D512 from MSI.
