WinRAR, Cinebench, and wPrime 1024M
WinRAR is a CPU intensive multithreaded application that isn't particularly bandwidth starved at these speeds. Over the course of 5 runs at 3 minutes each, the PC2-9200 edged out the PC2-6400 kit with a minor 4 kilobytes per second.
Cinebench is a single and multi-threaded application that scales moderately well with additional cores. Inter-core cache bandwidth and core to memory bandwidth is crucial in the multi-threaded benchmark and the additional bandwidth provided by the OCZ Flex II PC2-9200 kit shows in the results.
wPrime is a multi-threaded application that is CPU intensive and scales nearly 100% with the addition of more cores. It however isn't bandwidth starved and the difference between the two kits was so minimal it is barely worth mentioning.
