The XFX 780i SLI Bundle

The following equipment is included in the XFX nForce 780i SLI motherboard box as part of the bundle. The I/O Shield that installs in the chassis to block radio frequency transmissions, protect internet components from dust and foreign objects and aids in proper airflow within the chassis. A floppy cable, IDE-ATA 133 HDD cable and six SATA cables to hook up all the drives. Three 2-port SATA power cables, a 1394 bracket, USB 2.0 4-port bracket and the chipset cooling fan.

XFX also includes the usual user manual, quick reference guide and driver disc. The user manual was found to provide detailed explainations of many of the motherboard settings from CPU installation to BIOS settings.

NVIDIA 3-way SLI platform also requires a new SLI connector between the SLI headers on the GeForce 8800 GTX/Ultra GPUs. The specially-designed 3-way SLI paddle card is included in the XFX bundle along with the standard SLI connector. Users with nForce 680i motherboards that are upgrading to 3-way SLI will need to purchase one these connectors from select retailers online or use three flex-link connectors to get the job done.
