Final Thoughts
The BK623 Mt. Jade is by far the smallest case I have ever used. The case is comprised of numerous parts made of thin 0.6mm steel, which when assembled together make for a sturdy light case. The quality of all the formed parts made reassembly of the case easy, almost a pleasure. I was also happy that I did not find one sharp edge in the case, another BIG plus in a case this small.
The down sides to this case is that it was specifically designed with stock Intel hardware in mind; AMD users could use the case, but only after modifying the CPU air chamber or removing it all together. If you lean towards the silent PC route you may need to rig in an exhaust fan. The power supply cables for the main 20+4 pin connector and the 12v 4-pin for the CPU could stand to be another 6 inches longer as they may not reach on some mother boards if you are using a discrete graphics card. With a discrete graphics card installted you will have to route around the video card to get to your power connection and this may be enough routing to casue the cable to become too short.
If you’re looking for your next LAN rig, you might want to look else where, besides only having only a 300w PSU there are no PCIe power connectors for a video card. If you’re looking for a small case for an HTPC or a space conserving desktop then this could be the case for you.
Bottom Line: Great looking, well built case that can be found for as little as $50+ shipping and can be used for anything from a HTPC to a corporate desktop.
