With both test platforms running the same kit of memory at 3-3-3-9 timings it's clear that the Intel D975XBX2 motherboard has great memory performance. The Intel D975XBX2 (Bad Axe 2) is an updated version of the Intel D975XBX (Bad Axe) motherboard and one of the major improvements Intel did to the board was to improve the memory performance and it looks like they did a great job!
Everest has a built in Latency test and the results confirmed what the benchmark results showed. The Intel D975XBX Desktop motherboard has a lower latency, which means it will be able to access the memory faster. In this case the Bad Axe 2 is 2.3ns faster than Bushido!
