The Tests: Overclocking

I really had no expectations at all - good or bad - about the overclocking of this board.  I would not say that I was expecting it to be as good as the DFI Expert or the ABIT AN8 32X, but I did not think it would be a dog either.  At $99 (translate that to around $70 cheaper than the DFI or ABIT), this board had already made a strong showing at stock speeds, so anything else that we got in testing would just be gravy.

We were very pleased to be able to get to around 260HTT running at 1:1 speeds.  Though this was not as high as the pricier boards, it was a great overclock for the market this board is aimed at. Once we used a divider, we were very please to be able to get the following results using a 166 ram divider:

That's right!  292HTT!  This was very close to the max of our Opteron 146 CPU (3ghz).  This is alot of value for only $97!  We will talk more about that in our conclusion.
