Serious Sam 2
Sam is back and as witty as ever. Serious Sam 2 can bring any current video card to its knees when you start turning things up. With all the bad guys coming after you it?s easy to miss out on all the eye candy the gang over at Croteam put into this excellent game.
We ran one of pre-recorded demos for our tests. Tests were run at Maximum detail. Testing was performed with the latest patch v2.066.
Again we see the strange result of ATI cards performing worse at 1280x960 than the higher resolution of 1600x1200. Also with the 6.1 Catalyst drivers the X1800XL performs worse than version 5.13 at the lower resolution as seen here. Single card performance is very good for ATI at 1600x1200, it redeems itself quite nicely with the X1900XTX edging out the 7800GTX 512. The 1900XT is right with them, just a little less than 2 frames per second behind the faster clocked XTX. High Quality results show that even at 1600X1200 the ATI CrossFire solutions are playable.
