Quake 4
Quake 4 now finds a spot in our video card review with Doom 3 leaving. Quake 4 is a very relevant test as this is obviously a very popular multiplayer game. Having a low framerate while competing in a local LAN is only going to hurt your chances of winning.

In Quake 4 it's no contest as Nvidia comes away with the best performance in single and dual card results. Quake 4 is based on the engine that powers Doom 3 and is an OpenGL game. Despite impressive gains by ATI in OpenGL titles the X1900's are still not up to the level of the 7800GTX 512 here.
