SteelSeries Siberia V2 Frost Blue - A Closer Look
Inside the box of the SteelSeries Siberia V2 Frost Blue USB powered headset is the headset, an extension cable and a small instruction booklet. The headset is white with gray trim and has a clean design. The headset sits on the head lightly and has a miniaturized pulley system to adjust to different sized heads. We really like how the headset automatically adjusts to the size of the person head instead of the user adjusting the headset itself. The earcups are made of a soft leather like material and sits comfortably over the ears. Since they cover the ears completely, external noise is almost completely blocked out so you can concentrate on your gaming or your music.
One of most unique features of the SteelSeries Siberia V2 is the retractable mic. When playing a game or listening to music, the mic can stay completely hidden and out of the way. When communication is needed, simply pull the mic out and you’re ready to go. We tested the headset with both Skype and Ventrilo and everything works well.
In the middle of the cord is a volume controller and a mute button. While both features work, the mute button can be a little difficult to switch on and off. We believe that a push button mute button would work better for muting conversations based on experience with other products.
