Dirt Showdown

Dirt Showdown

Dirt Showdown is the latest title in the offroad racing franchise from Codemasters. Showdown is less about rally and more about all out destruction of your opponents on the race track. Dirt Showdown runs on the same engine as Dirt 3, but really shines because you're supposed to see all the chaos and damage caused by wrecking and crashing your vehicle. Dirt Showdown is also a DirectX 11 title, so we are able to take advantage of tessellation and it really shines in this beautiful title.

Dirt Showdown Settings

For our tests in Dirt Showdown we ran everything on the Ultra preset, with 8 x MSAA.

XFX 7850 Black Edition Dirt Showdown Chart
Test Results: Again the XFX Radeon 7850 Black Edition was the fastest card we tested, managing to run the game at 58.6 FPS at 1920x1080, and 79.4 FPS at 1280x1024. That means that at 1920x1080 it was 68% faster than the second fastest card I tested, which was the Asus Radeon 6950 while it was 104% faster than the EVGA GTX 470 which is really starting to show it's age.
