3DMark 2006

3DMark 06 is the worldwide standard in advanced 3D game performance benchmarking and the latest version in the popular 3DMark series! 3DMark06 tests include all new HDR/SM3.0 graphics tests, advanced SM2.0 graphics tests, AI and physics driven single and multiple cores or processor CPU tests and a collection of comprehensive feature tests to reliably measure next generation gaming performance today. Default 3DMark06 settings were used for testing, so a resolution of 1280x1024 was used.

Benchmark Results: No article would be complete without Futuremark 3DMark, so we ran 3DMark06 with standard settings on all of the platforms. The AMD 690G is again at a major disadvantage since it doesn't support Shader Model 3.0, but it still remains competitive with the Intel G965 chipset. Once all the graphics solutions have all the features AMD takes the lead across the board, but as you can see Intel is catching up.
