Rightmark Audio Analyzer
The RightMark Audio Analyzer suite is designed for testing quality of analog and digital paths of any audio devices, be it a sound card, an MP3 player, a consumer CD/DVD player or an acoustic set. The results are obtained by playing and recording test signals passed through the tested audio path by means of frequency analysis algorithms. The audio performance between the GIGABYTE 990FXA-UD7 audio performance doesn't differ from what we have seen in previous motherboards. Much of the performance differences in onboard motherboard audio comes from the included software. Everytime that we run Rightmark audio analyzer we need to disable the bundled software, the test never completes successfully with it running. When we look at the audio benchmark results we are looking at the results from solely the hardware. This is both good and bad. The reason it's good, we can see that the actual hardware is comparable between the motherboards. This is bad because we don't get a feel for the real performance running the audio like we would in real life situations.
