Just Cause 2
The next benchmark in our lineup is Just Cause 2 running on the Avalanche Engine 2.0 which is known for rendering seamless massive landscapes with a high level of detail. This benchmark does tend to favor NVIDIA based cards because while it is not DirectX 11 it uses several features specific to the CUDA engine such as the Bokeh effect (depth of field blur effect) that is not supported on the AMD cards.
The EVGA GeForce GTX 570 HD Classified performs very well on this benchmark turning in amazing 46.35 at 2560 x 1600 resolution with all the visual effects set to maximum levels.

Either card is completely playable at the top resolution but surprisingly the HD 6970 pulls 1.5 frames ahead at the lower 1920 x 1200 resolution. This shows that either of these power house cards have more than enough horsepower to crunch through anything this title can throw at them.
