The Test System

To test the EVGA GeForce GTX 570 HD Classified we dropped it into one of our test rigs hooked up to our 30" test monitor. This test rig consists of a
Intel i5-2500k  'Sandy Bridge' quad core processor running at stock speed of 3.3 GHz, 4GB of Corsair Dominator 1600 MHz memory, 700 Watt OCZ PSU, OCZ 100GB Vertex Limited Edition SATA II SSD with Windows 7 Professional 64-Bit  SP1 with all updates, and a Seagate 500 GB 7200 RPM hard disk for additional storage.

Dell U3011

We used the latest Forceware 280.26 WHQL drivers for our EVGA GPU.

In order to provide something to compare this card against we grabbed what is arguably the AMD equivalent of a GTX 570, an ASUS version of the ATI Radeon HD 6970 that is runs in a similar price range of $340.64 - $402.39 shipped depending on who's version you go with.  Please note this ASUS version of the HD 6970 does have a slight factory overclock from 880 MHz to 890 Mhz on the core clock but it still should give a nice comparison between the competing companies products.
