A closer look at the EVGA GeForce GTX 570 HD Classified:

The front of the card has the same reference design plastic shroud with the 70mm fan mounted on the right side blowing through the card.  If the signature black graphics with the silver on red "Classified" was removed it would be hard to tell there was anything special about this card.

The back of the card is a nice black PCB that is becoming more and more common these days from the old green boards.  The multi-way SLI ports are clearly visible and you can make out that the chip pattern appears to be the same as the GTX 580.  On the back edge of the PCB are voltage read point in case you want to break out your multi-meter and really fine tune your overclocking.

Here is the back of the GTX 580 we reviewed back in November of 2010.  I have not personally verified this but since this appears to be the exact layout of a reference GTX 580 it would seem likely a 580/570 water block should work on this Classified version of the GeForce GTX 570 graphics card.  Both the VRM and memory patterns look the same around the GPU it would simply be the capacitor placement that would make or break that theory.

If you look closely you can see that unlike the reference GTX 570 with dual 6-pin PCI Power ports the EVGA classified is sporting a 6-pin and 8-pin power just like its big brother the GTX 580.  Using the same supplemental power connectors as the GTX 580  in conjunction with the 6 phase digital PWM  allowed EVGA to provide up to 225 watts of power to this card increasing the overclocking potential.   The other thing to note is that unlike some of the other specialized versions of the GeForce GTX 570 released by EVGA such as the GTX 570 Superclocked,   they moved the PCI-e power ports on the classified version back to the top of the card.  You can also see an air vent next to the 'E' in EVGA.

This is how the reference design of the GeForce GTX570 was originally designed further supporting my theory this card could possibly fit a reference designed 570/580 water block.

The GTX 570 Classified offers two dual link DVI ports (DVI-D), HDMI port, and a display port.  In order to provide you with that additional display port they have to position the DVI ports side by side giving you a half height cooling vent.  The only down side to this configuration is that in order to provide proper air flow they utilize that air vent you saw in the top image of the card above which allows some of the hot air from your uber gaming sessions to vent into the case.
