Since video card temperatures and the heat generated by next-generation cards have become an area of concern among enthusiasts and gamers, we want to take a closer look at how the Gigabyte GeForce GTX 560 OC Video Card did at idle and under a full load.

As you can see from the screen shots above, the idle state of the Gigabyte GeForce GTX 560 OC Video Card drops the GPU core clock frequency down to 50.6MHz and the memory clock down to 135MHz to help conserve power and lower temperatures. At idle the Gigabyte GeForce GTX 560 OC Video Card got all the way down to 36 degrees, not really the lowest of any cards I have reviewed, but certainly way lower than both of the Radeon cards we put it up against.
Once again we fired up AvP and ran it at 1920x1080, which was enough to put the GPU core between 99% and 100% load in order to get the highest load temperature possible.

Looks like the Gigabyte GeForce GTX 560 OC has tied up with the Radeon 6870 for the lowest temperature at a full load, and coming in at a whopping 7 degrees cooler than the other GTX 560 we tested.
