Futuremark 3DMark 11 Synthetic Benchmark

3DMark 11 is the latest version of the world’s most popular benchmark for measuring the 3D graphics performance of gaming PCs. 3DMark 11 uses a native DirectX 11 engine designed to make extensive use of all the new features in DirectX 11, including tessellation, compute shaders and multi-threading.

Since Futuremark is releasing 3DMark11 today we decided to run the benchmark at both performance and extreme presets to see how our hardware will run.

Benchmark results: The Intel DX58S02 X58 motherboard fell slightly behind our other Intel X58 motherboards. When running the performance preset in Futuremarks latest DirectX 11 benchmark 3DMark 11, the Intel DX58S02. had a respectable score of 4712 3DMarks. Compared to the Sapphire Pure Black X58 motherboard that's a difference of 1.4%. Looking at the score from the GIGABYTE G1 Assassin, which is the top performing Intel X58 motherboard, there is a difference of 2.4%. Running the Extreme preset in 3DMark 11 the Intel DX58S02 scored 1576 3DMarks. That's 1.5% behind the Sapphire Pure Black X58 motherboard and 1.7% behind the GIGABYTE G1 Assassin.
