Image Description

To try out these encrypted USB 2.0 Flash drives we wanted to use a notebook as we felt that would be a better test platform than a desktop as most people are using laptops these days. For this we went with ASUS K53E 15.6-inch notebook. This notebook uses an Intel Core i5-2520M Sandy Bridge mobile processor that runs at 2.5GHz This notebook runs Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit and is loaded up with goodies like 6GB of DDR3 memory and a Seagate Momentus 640GB ST9640423AS 5400 RPM hard drive. You can see more detailed information on this notebook in the table below. All of the USB Flash drives were tested in a fresh out of the box state on the same USB 2.0 port. Each drive was installed, a password was set and then the drive was formatted.
