Peacekeeper Browser Benchmark

Futuremark Corporation unveiled Peacekeeper two years ago, a free online benchmarking tool for measuring and comparing the performance of common internet browsers. Futuremark claims that the benchmark realistically simulates the load placed on the browser by common JavaScript functions as used by popular, modern web 2.0 websites. For users who prioritize speed and performance, Peacekeeper helps answer the question of which browser is best for them.

Many may not know that your system performance plays a big roll in the performance capabilities of your browser. For an HTPC review, we felt it was important to benchmark the browser's performance and the results gave an eye-opening result. We benchmarked the latest releases of the four most popular browsers, Chrome, Firefox, Opera and Internet Explorer on both systems to give an idea the difference between each browser across both of our test systems. Like the previous benchmarks so far, the ASRock Core 100HT provides around double the performance score in all browsers. This should translate into better javascript performance and other web 2.0 features.
