Power Consumption

For testing power consumption, we took our test system and plugged it into a Kill-A-Watt power meter. For idle numbers, we allowed the system to idle on the desktop for 15 minutes and took the reading. For load numbers we measured the peak wattage used by the system while running the OpenGL benchmark FurMark 1.8.2 at 1280x1024 resolution.

Total System Power Consumption Results

Power Consumption Results: The ASUS ENGTX560 Ti DirectCU II Top video card did pretty darn well for an overclocked card. It was pretty much the same at idle when compared to the NVIDIA reference design and about 15 Watts higher at full load. Not bad considering this card features a custom PCB and higher memory, shader and core clock speeds!
