A Closer Look At The Radeon HD 6950 1GB
The Radeon HD 6950 2GB GDDR5 came out last month and the Radeon HD 6950 1GB is the same exact card with half the amount of memory on it. The clock speeds remain the same at 800MHz on the core and 1250MHz on the 1GB of GDDR5 memory.
Right away we noticed that the Radeon HD 6950 1GB is longer than the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti. We took the picture above to show you the length
difference between these two popular gaming graphics cards. The AMD Radeon HD 6950 1GB is
10.5" in length and the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti is just 9" in length. This shouldn't be an issue, but is certainly worth
pointing out to our readers.
As you can see, the Radeon HD 6900 series cards are dual-slot designs with a squirrel cage type cooling fan on it.
The back of the Radeon HD 6950 1GB video card we were sent doesn't have a back plate on it, which is interesting as the 2GB version does.
