Futuremark 3DMark 11

3DMark 11 is the latest version of the world’s most popular benchmark for measuring the 3D graphics performance of gaming PCs. 3DMark 11 uses a native DirectX 11 engine designed to make extensive use of all the new features in DirectX 11, including tessellation, compute shaders and multi-threading.

Since Futuremark is releasing 3DMark11 today we decided to run the benchmark at both performance and extreme presets to see how our hardware will run.

Benchmark results: Our results in Futuremark 3DMark 11 are rather intriguing. The extreme preset only showed a slight difference between the P55 system and the new Sandy Bridge systems, 50 points to be exact. When we look at the performance preset the Intel P67 systems were ~85% faster. Comparing only the two P67 systems the ASUS P8P67 had a .6% lead over the ASUS P8P67 Deluxe in the extreme preset and the ASUS P8P67 Deluxe had a .7% lead over the ASUS P8P67.
