ECS GeForce GTS 450 Overclocking
Overclocking the ECS GeForce GTS 450 graphics card can be done with overclocking software, but unfortunately ECS does not make or provide this software for their graphics card series.

The NVIDIA GeForce GTS 450 1GB reference video card starts off life at 783MHz on the core clock, 1566MHz on the shaders and 902MHz on the GDDR5 memory. The ECS GeForce GTS 450 comes factory overclocked at 850MHz on the core (1700MHz on the Shaders) and the memory is at 1000MHz. We know from previous reviews that these cards can come close to hitting 1GHz on the core, so we used EVGA Precision to overclock the card even further.
The ECS GeForce GTS 450 Video Card
Stock 850MHz/1000MHz (2000MHz effective):

Running 3DMark Vantage with the Extreme preset we got a score of X4830. The score went up X5518 3DMarks when overclocked with EVGA Precision software, which was an improvement of 14%.

This overclock is rock solid and the bump up from 850MHz core and 10000MHz memory to 985MHz core and 1075MHz memory did make a noticeable improvement in the games, also.
