For load numbers we measured the peak wattage used by the system while running the OpenGL benchmark FurMark 1.8.2 at 1280x1024 resolution.

EVGA GeForce GTX 470 Hydro Copper FTW Power Consumption

Power consumption of the EVGA GeForce GTX 470 Hydro Copper FTW has the highest total system power consumption of any of our graphics cards. This isn't entirely surprising; there is quite a bit more hardware involved when we are keeping the EVGA GeForce GTX 470 Hydro Copper FTW cool. There is the Swiftech MCP655B pump at maximum speed as well the additional three Yate Loon D12SH-12 high speed fans that are drawing power as well.
