Overclocking and the Winners

Image Description

The schedule had Pi Fast and Wprime 32M up first and then after a short break they had Super Pi 8M and MaxxMem competitions. The overclockers had two hours in each round to post their best scores.

Image Description

To get the memory scores possible several of the overclockers used paper towels to make 'boats' betwen the Kingston HyperX triple-channel memory modules and then filled it up with LN2. The result was memory that got up to -170C!!

Image Description

After a bit though the memory modules started to look a bit uh... frozen.

Image Description

Here is a shot of the modules that are shown on the bottom right corner of the fluke. Here they were running -155.7C while running a benchmark.  I have a feeling Kingston never had the idea that their HyperX T1 memory kits would be running this cold.

GO OC 2010 Winners

It looks like sno.lcn won the GO OC 2010 North America Championships by placing first in two of the events and second in a third event. The second place finish went to mikeguava, who won one event and placed high in two of the other events.
