Furmark v1.8.2

Furmark v1.8.2

FurMark is a very intensive OpenGL benchmark that uses fur rendering algorithms to measure the performance of the graphics card. Fur rendering is especially adapted to overheat the GPU and that's why FurMark is also a perfect stability and stress test tool for the graphics card.

Furmark v1.8.2 Settings

Furmark v1.8.2 was run as a performance benchmark with only Post FX enabled in addition to the fur rendering, which run in full screen mode, with 0x MSAA over a three minute period. Furmark was run on 1920x1080 and 1440x900 resolutions due to me being limited to a 19" monitor and 46" HDTV and run at native resolutions. As the fur rendering rotates, the framerate is far from constant but a clear average is found in the 180 second runtime used.

AXLE Radeon HD 5670 1GB Test Results: Furmark v1.8.2

Clearly this OpenGL benchmark favors nvidia cards, we shall see in the unigine tests if this is a consistent result using this API as the HD 5770 was even behind the GTS 250.
