We then got the chance to wander around the cube farm and one thing was certain, motherboards and video cards were all over the place!
This wood motherboard shelf was rather neat as it allowed the boards to be placed on their ends and fit nearly 20 motherboards.
A pile of boards that we being tested the day that we happened to be walking through. No RMA's or anything are done here, so this is all stress testing, debugging and overclocking for development purposes.
This motherboard caught out attention because it had 'Duck' written on it with a black Sharpie. There is most certainly a good story behind this, but we weren't able to figure it out.
ECS had thousands of boards on hand and if a consumer, reviewer or company has an issue with a board they more than likely have that board on hand and can try to replicate the issue here at their HQ. Almost all the cubicals had a stack of boards in them or above them, so its safe to assume just this one floor had thousands of motherboards hanging around!
