PCMark Vantage & SiSoft Sandra 2010

Kingston v series 188GB PCMarkVantage

PCMark Vantage v1.01 measures the performance of the latest PC hardware across a variety of common scenarios. PCMark Vantage supports both system level and component level benchmarking and comprises several different test suites but for the purposes of this review, we stuck with just the HDD suite. The nice thing about PCMark Vantage is that you can submit your scores online and compare against others.

Benchmark Results: Not a bad showing for the S596 and higher than what we would expect from a JMF612 controlled drive. Results are more on par with the Indilinx drives.

PCMARK VANTAGE GRID

SiSoftware Sandra2010

SiSoftware Sandra (the System ANalyser, Diagnostic and Reporting Assistant) is an information and diagnostic utility. Sandra provides most of the information (including undocumented) you need to know about your hardware, software and other devices whether hardware or software.

Benchmark Results: Read scores here are outstanding and near the top of the pack. Write scores are very good but more in the middle of things although still showing well against other JMicron drives.
