Temperature Testing

Temperature is always a concern when it comes to computer hardware. The higher the temperature of each component, the more it can contribute to the heating up of other components. Unfortunately, it is a vicious cycle. Being that heat is the enemy, we know that the GF100 chips get hot. Hot enough that Legit Reviews tried to cook an egg on the GeForce GTX480! Now, we aren't going to try anything like that today, but we are going to see how hot all of the cards will get. We are going to fire up ozone's 3D Furmark 1.8.2 and let it run for 15 minutes.

After at least 15 minutes of running Furmark, the EVGA GeForce GTX 465 was the only card to break 90 degrees. The EVGA GeForce GTX 465 SC Edition topped out at 91 degrees Celsius. The Galaxy GeForce GTX 465 was four degrees cooler at 87 degrees Celsius. The Galaxy GeForce GTX 465's non-reference cooler seems to perform better than the reference cooling solution.
