Overclocking

Overclocking on the ECS A890GXM-A is a pretty simple and straightforward process. The BIOS is easy to navigate so there should be no problems using it to tweak every ounce that you can get out of your CPU. As we normally do, we first set out to see what kind of results we could get with the default multiplier. Our results were not stellar, but they were not terrible either...take a look:

Getting a little over 600MHz overclock is not anything to write home about, but it is a decent improvement over stock speeds. The next thing we attempted to do was lower the multiplier to see how we would fare with higher bus speeds:

We were actually pleasantly surprised to get these kind of results. Over 300HTT is very good! We were a little shy of a 1GHz overclock, but it was still a great improvement!
