Final Thoughts & Conclusions
Windows drive properties shows 30.2GB of free capacity on the 32GB Voyager GTR and it is normal for a flash drive to show slightly less than actual full capacity.
If you've perused the benchmarking page, it's obvious that this is one fast flash drive. In fact, it's the fastest I have personally used and probably the fastest USB 2.0 drive we have reviewed over the years. In addition to the performance, Corsair has managed to keep the drive size to a minimum as well as offering a nearly indestructible design that takes the worry out of mobile storage. Throw in the 10-year warranty and the included lanyard and USB dongle all for $110, you have yourself a keeper.
Looking forward, I would expect that the next iteration of the GTR drive to evolve to a USB 3.0 format as by that time, a lot more PC's will be configured with USB 3.0 hardware. Until then, this should satisfy the need for speed on the USB 2.0 platform.
Legit Bottom Line: The Corsair Flash Voyager GTR offers outstanding performance in a stylish, yet rugged package. You'd be hard-pressed to find a better performing USB 2.0 flash drive. Being backed by Corsair's good name and excellent warranty certainly doesn't hurt either.
