Geekbench, Sandra Memory Bandwidth and HD Tune
Geekbench
Geekbench 2 is designed as a powerful program which can allow you to measure the performance of your computer's processor and memory. In addition, Geekbench also offers the Geekbench Result Browser which lets you compare your Geekbench scores with other Geekbench users.
Result: Once again we see the ASUS UL50Vf is packing a bigger than expected performance punch when compared to the UL80Vt.
Sandra Memory Bandwidth
Results: We again see better performance with the ASUS UL50Vf even in memory bandwidth. It seems there have been some nice performance efficiencies gained between the UL80Vt and the UL50Vf.
HD Tune
HDTune is a free benchmark that measures the disk's transfer rates, access time, burst rate, and CPU utilization when reading from the disk.
Results: Here we see decent hard drive performance. When looking back at the UL80Vt hard drive performance, we see the transfer speeds of the UL50Vf are back and closer to where we would have expected them to be.
