HD Tune Pro v4.01
HD Tune Pro 4.01 is an extended version of HD Tune which includes many new features such as write benchmark, secure erasing, AAM setting, folder usage view, disk monitor, command line parameters and file benchmark.
Benchmark Results: Rock steady reads from the Kingston 128GB V Series SSD and at roughly 15% over the rated speed. That's what we like to see!
Benchmark Results: This is what we don't like to see. The writes seem to be doing just fine and for whatever reason it hits a wall and fluctuates wildly. We saw the same type of result from the Western Digital SiliconEdge Blue 256GB SSD which just so happens to use the same JMicron JMF618 controller. It's possible that the controller just doesn't like this particular benchmark.
Benchmark Results: Writes struggle a bit again here but the reads are really kicking it into high gear. Overall, the V Series drive just doesn't seem to like the HD Tune Pro benchmark software in terms of writes as every test seems to report lackluster results.
