Testing Results



The results of the increased bandwidth are obvious in every test that we benchmarked. Take a look at the results:

As you can see, the addition of nearly 400MHz of additional bandwidth certainly helps in every benchmark that we ran. Sandra and Everest show us the synthetic benefits of the additional bandwidth, and then we see a slight increase in the real world applications of Cinebench 11.5, FEAR and Dirt 2. The scores are closer than they would have been if we had not had to loosen timings up at the higher speeds to get the system stable enough to run the benchmarks. I also would be quite sure that the Patriot Viper II Sector 5 kit would have some overclocking potential for those that have a system that has no limitations on the CPU and settings.
