Sapphire Radeon HD 5570 Video Card Front

Here we see the Sapphire Radeon HD 5570 edition card and right off the bat you can see that it based off the single-slot AMD reference design.  The Sapphire Radeon HD 5570 does have three slight differences, though, as the PCB is blue, the corners of the PCB are rounded and it has a different GPU cooler on it.

This Sapphire card features the standard clock speeds of 650MHz on the core clock with a 900MHz memory clock frequency.

Sapphire Radeon HD 5570 Video Card CrossFire Cooler

The GPU cooler that is used on the Sapphire Radeon HD 5570 is not the same as the one on the reference card. It appears to be made from Aluminum and has many more cooling fans that the copper reference design. It will be interesting to see which design performs better.

Sapphire Radeon HD 5570 Video Card Back

The Sapphire Radeon HD 5570 features 1GB of GDDR3 memory and has four memory IC's on the front and four memory IC's on the rear just like the reference card.

The GDDR3 memory chips used on the Sapphire Radeon HD 5570 are labeled Samsung K4W1G1646E-HC11, which is once again identical to the reference card that we looked at on the previous page. The only difference between the ICs on these two graphics cards just happens to be the date code.

Sapphire Radeon HD 5570 Video Card HDMI Connector

The Sapphire Radeon HD 5570 graphics card has a single dual-link DVI-I outputs along with DisplayPort and HDMI outputs. This is the configuration that you need for AMD Eyefinity.

Now that we know a little more about the two Radeon HD 5570 graphics cards that we have in-house for testing, let's take a look at the test system and then the performance levels of the cards.
