Sandra 2010 Memory Bandwidth

The Sisoft Sandra 2010 benchmark utility was released a few weeks ago and we have started to include it in our benchmarking. Sandra 2010 now comes with support for Virtualization (Virtual PC/Server, Hyper-V, VMware) and GPGPU (OpenCL, DirectX 11 Compute Shader/DirectCompute). Today we will be utilizing Sandra 2010 to look at memory bandwidth performance!

Benchmark Results: The AMD Athlon II X4 635 falls right in line with the AMD Phenome II 910e with only a slight difference. With the MSI 785G motherboard running dual channel memory at 1600MHz it was easily able to pass up the performance seen on the DDR2 platform at 1066MHz. The Intel Core i7 920 system with triple-channel memory leads the chart, but it is also a more expensive platform to build.
