Memory on modern machines is one of those things that is frequently overlooked due to the minor differences between high-end and low-end kits with regards to performance. The results above show precisely why this is the case. These two kits have differing timings, the Mushkin XMP profile set the RTL values much tighter than the Kingston profile, and yet the two kits perform within fractions of a percentage point of each other. For normal usage I hate to say it but there isn't much to differentiate the two kits of memory. One is black, one is blue and they both yield similar performance values.
