Race Driver: GRID (known as GRID in North America) is the latest addition to the TOCA Touring Car series by Codemasters, published and developed by the same company. It was announced on April 19, 2007, and is available for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Nintendo DS and PC. The game was released on June 3, 2008 in North America.

Race Driver: GRID uses Codemasters' own Ego engine, an evolved version of the Neon engine already used in their previous release, Colin McRae DIRT. The damage code has been completely rewritten to allow for persistent damage environments. 'High' settings were used with 4xAA, on the Kenwood Global Series Pro Tuned Race.

As you can see from the first test, the AXLE GT 240 has its hands full, but is very close in performance to the other two cards. The 512MB frame buffer size is not enough to out-muscle its older brother, the 9600 GSO with only 384MB even at 1920 x 1080, which surprises me to say the least. The difference in gameplay between the cards is negligible overall, so let's move on.
