QNAP TS-419P – FTP Speeds
The first benchmark we wanted to run on the QNAP TS-419P Turbo NAS was a FTP transfer test. For this, we downloaded the latest version of SmartFTP (4.0 Build 1047) and transferred a file from the client system to the TS-419P ftp server.
I uploaded a 1 GB movie file over to the ftp server and noted that the upload speeds (Computer to NAS) topped out around 15 MB/s with an average speed of between 12-13 MB/s.
I then tested the download speeds (NAS to Computer) and was happy to see a 3 times speed increase. I noted the top speed at 54 MB/s with an average speed of between 51-52 MB/s.
