HD Tune File Benchmark

Benchmark Results: The WD Caviar Black hard drive beat out the WD Caviar Green hard drive in every test here in the HD Tune read benchmark except for one. It should be noted that the WD Caviar Green series drive was 5-6C cooler in the temperature department, which is important for those looking for a cool running system. This confirms that WD GreenPower Technology does indeed yield lower operating temperatures for increased reliability. It makes less drive noise, which was obvious from our testing by this, only our second benchmark.  The WD Caviar Green series is aimed more for consumers looking for low acoustics levels for ultra-quiet PCs, HTPCs and external drives.
