3DMark06
3DMark 06 is still a popular standard in advanced 3D game performance benchmarking and is the latest version in the popular 3DMark series available to run on Windows XP. 3DMark06 tests include HDR/SM3.0 graphics tests, advanced SM2.0 graphics tests, AI and physics driven single and multiple cores or processor CPU tests and a collection of comprehensive feature tests to reliably measure next generation gaming performance.

When compared with ever-popular netbooks, the Intel GMA4500MHD on the MSI X340 Slim notebook fares near the top. When compared with the ASUS N10Jc-A1 w/9300m, the MSI X340's CPU Score wins out, but everything else falls behind a bit. Obviously, the ASUS N81Vp Gaming notebook is going to swamp the X340, as seen in the graph above.
We did attempt to run 3DMark Vantage since the X340 came with Windows Vista pre-installed, however neither with the drivers preinstalled nor the most recent Intel graphics drivers could we get the benchmark to run.
