Frictional Games is promoting the upcoming release of its soon to be released sci-fi horror game SOMA which comes out next week on Tuesday September 22. For a limited time, previous released Frictional Game titles, Penumbra and Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs, are on sale for 80%. SOMA is also on sale with a preorder special of 10% off.

Amnesia: The Dark Descent has been hailed as being one of the scariest video games ever to have been released. The player navigates dark spooky corridors where creatures roam about through a first-person perspective with no weapons. The immersive helplessness that pervades Frictional Games titles has inspired a number of other first-person survival horror games such as Outlast and Alien: Isolation.

If you have about 10 minutes for laughs, this playthrough posted to YouTube gives a taste of the terror that made Amnesia: The Dark Descent a favorite amongst gamers. The video does contain some foul language so be advised that it is not appropriate for all ages.
