AMD Ryzen Threadripper CPU Packaging Looks Wicked

Have you been wondering what the packaging will look like for the AMD Ryzen Threadripper retail boxed processors? You no longer have to stay up late at night laying in bed wondering what it looks like as AMD has posted up a picture of said packaging on Twitter!

Could this be the best looking retail boxed processor ever? If you look really close at the center of the Ryzen logo you can see the Ryzen Threadripper processor hiding in the box! AMD’s CEO Dr Lisa Su also uploaded a picture to Twitter holding the retail box and that gives us an ideal of the scale of this packaging.

There was a rumor going around that there might be a water cooled retail boxed processor coming to market, but it doesn’t look like this packaging is for that. AMD has said that AMD Ryzen Threadripper will be available to purchase in early August. More Threadripper information will likely be announced at SIGGRAPH 2017 along with some updates on the consumer version of Radeon Vega.
