3DMark Vantage is the new industry standard PC gaming performance benchmark from Futuremark, newly designed for Windows Vista and DirectX10. It includes two new graphics tests, two new CPU tests, several new feature tests, and support for the latest hardware. 3DMark Vantage is based on a completely new rendering engine, developed specifically to take full advantage of DirectX10, the new graphics API from Microsoft.

Performance settings were used, so a 1280×1024 resolution was used.

Benchmark Results: The AMD Phenom II X6 1055T was able to easily dominate the field of AMD processors that we tested today. The AMD Phenom II X6 1055T had a CPU score nearly 5500 3DMarks higher than the AMD Phenom II X4 910e and nearly 4600 3DMarks higher than the AMD Athlon II X4 640. Though it was 3100 3DMarks behind the Intel Core I7 930 when comparing CPU scores, and it was only 2000 3DMarks behind in the overall score.
