Alienware Bundling Watch Dogs on AMD and NVIDIA Gaming Systems

By

NVIDIA’s GameWorks Team has been working closely with Ubisoft and has had partnerships with them on previously released game titles like Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Blacklist, Assassin’s Creed 4 Black Flag and Watch Dogs. NVIDIA has helped Ubisoft come up with game worlds that are able to use technologies such as TXAA antialiasing, soft shadows, HBAO+, advanced DX11 tessellation and NVIDIA PhysX. That relationship appears to be going strong as NVDIA and Ubisoft still have a partnership in place for upcoming game titles such as; Assassin’s Creed Unity, Far Cry 4, The Crew and Tom Clancy’s The Division.

Alienware Insider Watch Dogs

NVIDIA is currently doing a promotion where you get Watch Dogs with the purchase of a qualifying GeForce GTX Graphics Card, but it appears that Alienware is going a step further than that. Alienware is now including Watch Dogs on select desktops and laptops according to a e-mail blast that was sent out today. We took a look and the interesting thing is that Watch Dogs is included on both AMD Radeon and NVIDIA GeForce powered systems. That sounds like a win-win for gamers, but the guys over in green might not like that Dell/Alienware is doing it for the red team as well.

Alienware has been very vocal about Watch Dogs in recent weeks and even put a Facebook Post up sharing the games technology trailer by NVIDIA and stated that it is best played on a PC. That Facebook post from a couple weeks back stated that Watch Dogs was free on select NVIDIA GeForce GPU powered systems. That no longer appears to be true and it is now open to other systems.
