The features of the Albatron FX5900 XTV are standard for any FX5900XT card you will find available on the market. The only “optional” feature that is included on this particular card is VIVO. So there is not much to talk about here.

The only other thing I will go ahead and point out is that nVidia’s default spec for Core frequency on any FX5900XT is 390MHz, which is 10MHz shy of a FX5900’s default core frequency.

Layout

Albatron followed the reference card design on this model. Something that I didn’t realize until I got this card is how the FX5900XT cards all tend to have the memory on the top of the card, as opposed to half the memory on the top & half on the bottom. I will also point out that Albatron was able to use the same heatsink they use on their FX5200U GPU’s. This goes to show that the FX5900XT core is rather cool when it comes to heat concerns.

As I mentioned earlier, this card requires external power from your PSU in order to run at standard core and memory speeds. By looking at the backplate of this card, you can see the typical VGA, VIVO, DVI ports.

From the pic above, you can see that Albatron did a pretty good job of covering the entire GPU with thermal compound before applying the heatsink.
