Acer has announced the Predator Z35P Ultra-Wide Curved Gaming Monitor. The Z35P has improved its resolution compared to its predecessor, the Acer Z35. Like the Z35, the new Z35P has the same 35-inch curved display. The new display monitor offers an impressive 3440 x 1440 resolution along with an improved contrast ratio. In comparison, the Acer Z35 only measured at 2560 x 1080.

The Acer Z35P has ditched the original stand for an improved design. The new design omits the red plastic and replaces it with an all-black thin tripod support. This takes focus away from the desk area and concentrates the attention where it matters most.

The Acer Z35 display has a response time of 4 milliseconds, a 300 nit max brightness, a 2500:1 contrast ratio, 178/178 degree viewing angles, and an 1800R curvature. Additionally, the Z35P supports NVIDIA G-Sync technology. Although the Z35P is a great choice for gamers, the refresh rate sits on 100 Hz. Nonetheless, a source claims the refresh rate may be overclocked up to 120 Hz, it falls short from the 200 Hz the Z35 could manage. The Acer Predator Z35P display has one HDMI 1.4 port, a 1.2 DisplayPort, four USB Type A-headers with one USB-B input, and a 3.5mm audio jack allowing two 9 W integrated speakers.

The Acer Predator Z35P Ultra-Wide Curved Gaming Monitor is available for pre-order for $1.099.
